About the event
Black Girls Achieve was invited to bring six girls from Hartford to participate in a week-long Menstrual Education retreat in Kenya, Nairobi in July 2023! Our partners and the retreat host, Love Your Menses, is a non-profit organization promoting menstrual equity education, resource connection, product distribution, and mentorship. In addition to learning about menstrual equity, we will learn about and explore the country’s culture and traditions while forming meaningful bonds with one another, girls from Kenya, DC, and Boston that will last a lifetime.
